Best lightweight tactical pants for the money
Written on Nov 18, 2014
I've tried other lesser quality alternatives to the Proper Lightweight Tactical Pants and seen others pay considerably more for 5.11 offerings with similar utility. These are now my go to lightweight tactical pants and I recommend them to anyone looking for high quality with a USEFUL pocket layout. The construction is very good with only a few minor loose threads. The wallet pocket is great for keeping your wallet place. The front pockets are a good depth and wide enough to get to items while seated. The front pockets are also reinforced for knife and flashlight clips. The belt loops are large enough to fit a large buckle through and placed to allow good holster clip alignment. The only downside to these pants is the sizing. While they may actually be more accurate than other brands, I find that I need to go up a waste size for proper fit compared to most jeans. The elastic waste ensures allows some leeway here.
