Nikon BLACK FX1000 4-16x50SF Rifle Scope
I’m really digging this scope at this price point. I ended mounting it with a Leupold 20 MOA rail and Mark IV rings. While I need to put it through the paces for long ranges, I took it hunting this past weekend. Low light performance is on point. Installed the sunshade that came in the box, and glare going into the sun was controlled enough to have a shot. My cousin that has one of the nice Vortex scopes wants the FX1000 now.
One thing to note is that the illumination is really only for low light conditions. Once it gets light enough, it is not perceptible. I was fine with that as low light is where it would be most needed. From some reviews, it sounds like there were a few scopes that had issues, but the lot my scope came from seems OK. Happy to have Nikon’s lifetime warranty if there is an issue.
