Can't beat it for the price.

Written on Oct 04, 2023

Installed this brake on a 30-06 I had built for my son and it reduced recoil by at least 40%. I have an unbraked .308 and the difference in recoil is amazing. I honestly don't see any reason to spend 2 or 3 times more on a muzzle brake with this one will do the job perfectly.

Works like Berger Intended

Written on Oct 21, 2021

So far I've taken two deer with this bullet out of a 6.5 Creedmoor running them at 2874fps. Accuracy is a consistent .5 to .25 MOA using H4350 and both deer never made it further than 20 yards. You can't argue with the results but if you hunt in thick woods and need a blood trail, you could have a problem. One one buck, I had a small exit hole and no exit on a perfect broadside shot on the second with a tiny entry. Couldn't find any hair or blood at all but the deer only went about 20 yards so I can't argue with that. Expansion is extremely rapid so I would not use them on a hard quartering angle but when properly placed, they are devastating internally.

Great Hunting Chassis

Written on May 04, 2021

I purchased an Element to use with an Origin Chassis to create a new hunting rig and couldn't be happier. I ended up going with a proof carbon fiber barrel and my whole rig with scope is under 10lbs. Accuracy is repeatable and this chassis is very durable for the hard use equipment receives in the woods. Chassis is very adjustable and the MLok slots and the sides are perfect. The only thing I needed to add was an Arca rail for tripod use when hunting in a blind. Well made and worth the price.

Best rings for the money

Written on Mar 04, 2021

I have rings costing twice as much as these and I honestly can't see the difference. No lapping was needed and they aligned perfectly. Machining is flawless and typical XLR quality! I've had this rings on another rifle for over a year now and have held zero perfectly in field conditions. Great buy!

Incredible Accuracy and DRT results.

Tried these bullets for the first time on a Texas hunt a few weeks ago. I was running the 140gr in my 270WSM and my son the 135gr in his 6.5 Creed. Both deer expired within 10 yards of getting hit with almost identical 2" exit wounds. Accuracy if phenomenal in both rifles with 10 shot groups conistenly just a hair over .5 MOA. Couldn't ask for more. We waited for perfect broadside shots and had exits on both. I was a bit concerned at first since Bergers have a rep of not going through but this wasn't the case at all.

Excellent Chassis For The Price

Written on Nov 13, 2020

Installed this chassis on my custom Rem 700 .270WSM prior to hunting season and love it. The chassis feels fantastic in my hands with accuracy so repeatable, I noticed no difference in group size from the bedded McMillan this action was previously in. I installed a full length arca rail from MDT and couldn't be happier. Quality is excellent and I've already gone on 10 hunts with it and chassis still looks new.

Can't beat it for the money

Wanted to put together an economical chassis build for a hunting rifle and I couldn't be happier. I bought a Bighorn Origin action, .308 Shilen pre-fit barrel and triggertech trigger. Put it all together and the rifle is solid sub MOA for about $1400 all in. Feeds perfectly out of Magpul AICS mags and the chassis feels solid as can be. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of my MPA chassis but for half the price, you cant beat it. My Bighorn Origin action dropped right in without issue, as did the trigger. Overall extremely pleased.

Hard to beat for the price

Written on Nov 19, 2019

Great scope for the price. It does get a little dark at high magnification but the glass is still very good. Tracks like its on rails and it was a breeze to sight it. Quality is very high and I believe this scope will give other brands a run for their money. I bought the model with the MRAD reticle and it's very usable. I'm mainly using it as a hunting scope so I wish they made a model with a much simpler reticle but it works great for quick long distance shots.

Worth every Penny

Written on Mar 11, 2019

This made my long distance shooting a breeze. I honestly should have bought this years ago. I'm currently using Stelok and the first time I started inputting reliable wind data, I was getting first round hits at 1000 yards easily. The unit is a breeze to set up and and is critical for the input of correct sight in data. I've now been able to document the exact velocity changes I'm getting due to temperature which I wasn't able to do before.
