First mag I tried was an AR pmag and it was rough at first, a few rounds would go in and then jam up or pop out, then I tried a steel AK mag and it went better, by third mag I was flying through a dozen mags of all different brands in just a few minutes, it takes practice but once you get it figured out this thing is amazing!your grip on the AR pmag matters, they don't seat as securely as AK makes. I noticed with AR pmags you have to hold the mag at just the right angle and firmly while loading, with AK mags make sure to be on a level surface, the rounds slide forward as you load them and the tip jams up in the mag easily. By even just sticking a thin book under the tray you can help with gravity and angle it so the rounds keep rearward inside the magazine. That helped me fly through mags with amazing speed!
