Reduces recoil well.

Written on Jul 03, 2025

This reduces recoil on my 5.56. I have one on 7.62 and another on a 300 BLK. All work well with or without a suppressor. I highly recommend this gas block.

Gets the job done!

Written on Jul 03, 2025

I bought the 7.62 version so I knew HUXWRX was a good brand. The 5.56 version is just as effective. Both are light weight and ensure a muzzle break or suppressor aligns with the barrel. And the price is right.

Great Red Dot

Written on Jan 19, 2024

This my second Venom. My first is on my carry pistol. The Venom dot is easy to pickup to get on target fast. It also helped me with cross-dominance: right-handed, but left eye dominant. The Venom is very sturdy and unobtrusive.

Effective in Reducing Muzzle Rise

Written on Jan 06, 2024

I put the E-brake on a Sandman S attached to an AR-10 (.308 Win) rifle. This rifle also has an adjustable gas block tuned for suppressor use. The E-brake certainly reduced muzzle rise and recoil using a bench rest at 50 yards.

The rifle was also easier to shoot using the rifle’s backup red dot sight, which is canted 45 degrees off the rifle’s right side, and the stock is not in the normal shoulder pocket. However, the muzzle rise was non-existent and the rounds hit where they were aimed.

Softens AR-10 Recoil

Written on Nov 17, 2023

I put this on an AR-10 and noticed a big difference in recoil; I set it on 32 clicks out. However, the rifle would jam on the last round in the magazine when using a suppressor. The problem cleared by moving to 40 clicks. This setting also worked unsuppressed.
