I ordered this set in FDE because I wanted the A2 style and to match the other furniture on my rifle, and the color matches my other Magpul furniture very well. They come with a heat shield that fits well, the two halves fit together well, and installed on the rifle the fit is very good. They are oval instead of round, but they're thinner than some of the other oval hand guards I've seen, which is a plus for me as they fit my hand perfectly when shooting offhand standing. They are good quality as would be expected from IMI, and sturdy. Being a competition marksman, I can be hard on equipment and these have held up well. They should have been more scratched up by now, but they are hard enough to resist minor scratches and gouges, at least so far. They match the other furniture very well and have a good fit on the rifle, and are sturdy. Everything I asked for, and IMI came through again.

This ammo is very accurate and not just for commercial ammo, it nearly matches my tuned hand loads in my barrel. I normally load my own match ammo, but occasionally I get busy and short on time. I decided to give the Sig ammo a try and was pleasantly surprised. Most folks will shoot 3 or 5 shot groups, when evaluating new loads or ammo I do a 20 shot group &/or 5 groups of 5 shots and use the average. I found that the Sig 175gr. OTM ammo was within 0.1" of my tuned hand loads at 100 yards. Using this ammo I shot clean in a Mid-Range match and 99% in a sniper match. Maybe not every barrel will have the same results, but it works in my barrel. I now feel comfortable with a viable backup if I can't get hand loads loaded up in time.

Installation was smooth and easy with no hitches. It does what it's supposed to - no fire on safe, fire on fire position. Looks good. Smooth operation. Manufacture looks good - no sharp edges, even finish, a quality item. And I can use it left handed.

This is the real deal that the U.S. military uses. According to my son, this is the rail system his M16 had. So it's perfect for that military rifle build. In addition to being the real deal, it's also the best rail system I've ever had. Follow the instructions and it installs smooth and easy, and is the most solid rail fore stock I've seen. No flimsy rail for bipod, my bipod is solid as a rock. Comes with plenty of covers for the unused areas. While being solid, it has less bulk than any other rail system I've had which helps the rifle to fit in the safe taking less space. Plenty of rail to install all the accessories you could ever want, or could carry. Absolutely the best rail system. And a far cry from the triangular hand guards of my day :^) I highly recommend it.

I found this scope to work well. It's not a long range or near dark type of scope, but it works well within its design limits. Easy to mount and sight in. After several hundred rounds still holding zero. It has the right look for that retro AR build which is what I bought it for, and way less expensive than an original Colt. I don't know how rugged it is, at least if I had a choice I probably would not want to rely on it in combat situation.
