like these a lot

Written on Mar 18, 2026

Big hands and vertical grip allows for a lot more control when multiple rounds are being cycled. have these on quite a few of my rifles.
probably will purchase more in the future..

good and crisp

This is a good trigger. It does take some adjusting once it get installed. The issue I had was that without anti walk pins the front pin was loose. Could come with those but it didn't. reset was an issue until took a minute to do adjustments. like the shoe but if you plan on changing its position first set it then clamp it down. Elftmann triggers are a good up grade.

bottom metal / plastic for peak 44

Written on Dec 14, 2025

put this on a peak 44 with hinged floor plate cut out. very little modifying to carbon stock. Had to drop the depth of the trigger action screw hole , but did that with a forsner bit so it did not protrude on the hand position. relieved 2 spot on the cross piece in front of the trigger and got the end to sit flush. took about 20 minutes total.. popped the clip in and ran it for function and it works great. light weight rifle with bergera CF barrel premier action, peak 44 stock and magpul bottom. great light weight rifle for packing for long runs in the hills.

new pic rail for bergera premier LA

very good rail.. comes with both sizes of screws..machining on rail to receiver did not require skim bedding. most do if you go that far.

Not a good fit for chassis build.

Written on Mar 23, 2025

I tried this on a chassis build with an MDT chassis. With the added adapter to fit this stock made the over all length to much to position the eye piece on the scope. Finally turned the offset mount around and had good eye relief. I think that an AR style fit is what this one is made for and is the right length of pull. So I have another build that worked very well with a luth AR stock. I took the lower brace off with a cutting tool and smoothed it out to a perfect fit. So if your looking at a precision stock that wont break the bank this one is great for AR types. The Luth AR precision can be adapted over to the MDT chassis very easy. Both work amazing for precision shooting and builds. And not nearly the expensive price to put a precision stock on a rifle build.

Priced right for a chassis

Written on Mar 20, 2024

Purchased this chassis for a ruger American. I had not tried this brand of stock. i do have several of the other brands.
Pretty easy install. changed out the sling swivel for a rail to mount a bi pod on it. changed out the grip immediately to a vertical grip.
The fit and weight in this style of stock is more to my liking. Other brands are considerably heavier and almost impossible to pack in the field.
All in all it not a bad stock for the money.
Only draw backs on this and other chassis stocks on the American is getting to the safety with out taking your hand off the trigger. Also the length of pull is very short for me. I added all the inserts and still was short by about a half inch. If you know anyone with a 3D printer the problem goes away.
