Beautiful Machining and Finish work
Written on Jan 22, 2020
Review for
Griffin Armament Paladin Brake Taper Mount
As is my experience with other Griffin muzzle devices, the Paladin Brake is beautifully machined with a black nitride finish that is a step above the competition. The predrilled hole for pinning to your barrel is also a nice touch. Please note, to make a standard 14.5" barrel meet the 16" minimum length requirement for a rifle, a 1/4" spacer was required with the Paladin Brake.

Inferior finish
Written on Mar 30, 2017
This item is machined nicely, and feels good in the hand. The finish, however, is not the normal mil-spec hard coat anodize. It appears to be some sort of paint or powder coat, and is not likely to hold up to long term use. When I first opened it, It was already chipped in the countersink area around the mounting screw holes. Another point , to note, is the barrel but has very narrow flats that will require either a special wrench or modification of a standard one.
