Love the fact that I don't have to bother with a tri-pod. This is very handy and extremely easy to set up. It comes with a thin rubber spacer for heavy barrels and a thick spacer for thin barrels. The goal is to have the "bayonet" positioned about 1/8" below the bore and there is a center point in the curved part that I align with the end of the barrel. To keep the unit securely attached to the barrel I use the extra rubber shim on the top of the barrel with the strap going around both top spacer and the end of the "bayonet". I use this setup with my 416 Ruger and it does not budge and I get very consistant velocities on different days with the same load. I even compared the velocity with my old Shooting Chorny and was within 20 fps.
I can't use this the same time I'm shooting for accuracy since it changes the barrel harmonics but I'll live with that inconvenience.
I'm very happy with this and highly recommend it. No more worring about disrupting the shooting line trying to precisely set up my old style chrony.
