This optic has a special type of redicle. It encircles the dot with a circle that just fits within the full screen. The advantage is that you can never lose the DOT. If the DOT is off screen the part of the circle still visible drags your eye directly back to the DOT where ever it may have gone. Further the circle tends to make your eye focus so well that the 3MOA DOT is enhanced by the direction that the circle provides to the DOT. In short, your focus is enhanced and you shoot as if the DOT was less than the 3MOA its intended to be.
Finally,the outer circle directs you eye to the DOT speeding up your acquisition of the DOT and quickens you target picture. Additionally the Circle enhances your perception of the DOT focusing your sight picture. Bottom line you shoot better as a result.
