This Castle Nut looks good! The weight saving are negligible. But it looks cool, and looking cool is all that really matters... right guys? It has many notches for your castle nut wrench to fit into. I like that. It’s really black. I like that too. It holds the buffer tube in place just like a castle nut should. That’s important. It’s definitely worth buying especially if you think you’re building a fancy rifle. Probably no one will notice other than you but it’s a nice finishing touch to set your build apart.
This thing is tiny but it works! I have an SLR handguard with a 1.3” inside diameter I tried a JP adjustable gas block and it was touching on all sides. So needed to find something smaller. Well this is that something. Plenty of room on all sides.
Stock is pretty much useless all around. Top isn’t leveled off to allow charging handle to clear unless fully extended. But if it is fully extended it is sloppy and isn’t tight on the buffer tube. I don’t recommend.
This thing is great I’m building an alternative upper to make my gun more maneuverable. Optics weigh the same and this has shed more than 2 lbs off my gun. Only difference between this one and my other one is it has a streamlight but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t weigh a pound. Super happy with this handguard. Also it’s very comfortable with no rail for most of the top. Not planning to mount anything to this one so it’s not needed for this build. Slim rail light weight, looks cool. What else do you want?
If you have a vortex pst gen II buy this. Your life will be easier. Girls will find you attractive again. You’ll move out of your moms basement. Your hair will grow back from that bald spot you inherited from your dad. Your muscles will grow. And your friends will buy the beer from now on. Oh yeah back to the review... the mag ring on the viper pst gen II is super stiff. This give you a solid amount of leverage to make it easier to turn. Made out of aluminum. You can’t go wrong with this. Buy it now!
This scope has very clear glass and extremely nice edge to edge clarity. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better scope sub $1000. Red dot is very bright. Too bright in some instances. You’ll definitely see it if you need it. 1 power it’s almost like having a red dot optic that can zoom out for farther when you need it. Very little to no chromatic aboration that I can find I’ve heard people talking about that but I don’t notice any. On the negative.. the turrets suck.. really bad. Worst turrets I’ve ever felt. maybe it’s just mine, idk. I haven’t tried a box test but I would assume mine would fail. However once you have it zeroed it does stay very well. And it’s an LPVO so it’s not like you’ll be dialing dope anyway. Set it and forget it. Overall, it’s a great alternative to the $1000+ range scopes and I think at the end of the day money well spent
This thing is awesome! Takes up very little real estate. But has a very firm hold for your sling. No movement at all from this thing. I have had the mlok version for a while on a gun with no qd attachments. I love that one too but I prefer this because it doesn’t take up much space.
Awesome Paraclip adapter. Leaves a small footprint. I have some of the mlok ones too. But I like this better because it’s smaller and equally effective. A little more about this product because it said to write a little more about this product. It’s pretty simple. Don’t overthink it. It works, it’s nice, and well made. If you need it, but it. You can’t go wrong unless you have no qd insert. But I’m sure there is an attachment for that too Lol .
Holds the detention and spring and excepts QD attachments. Looks good too! I have like 3 now. Great product. Bravo Company always makes good stuff. Optics planet coming through as well with quick shipping.
Takedown and pivot pins are good and tight and hold upper receiver better than most. Springs for the mag and bolt catch are a bit noisier than other parts kits I’ve used. The biggest problem I have with it is the safety selector is already wearing out after one trip to the range. I can move the selector into Safe when the hammer is forward and not charged. Upon inspection the detention has worn down the metal where it should catch.
