A Good Bowie

I have several bowie knives of Indian and Chinese manufacture that are just okay. This Cold Steel offering is more expensive, but a great value at the price. It has the classic vintage look, but a totally functional design and feel. It comes well-sharpened. I have no idea what I will use it for, but that is true of the majority of my edged weapons/tools. My only complaint is the sheath. It is some kind of a high-tech plastic thing which requires two or three hands to extract the knife. Okay to store the knife in. I like the knife well enough that I will have a local knife smith make a vintage-style sheath for it. (A large increase in overall price, which could have been avoided with a decent factory sheath). Anyhow, I am happy with the knife!
