High Rider

Written on Aug 21, 2018

The quality of this holster is unquestionable, however, the design has more to be desired by me. The model I had was for a Sig P239. The holster rode too high in the waistband causing the grip to flop forward and away from the body. Not good for concealed carry. Perhaps this holster model for a longer barreled pistol would ride deeper in the waistband. I returned the holster using Optics Planet outstanding, hassle-free return process. I really wanted this holster to work, but it didn't for me.

This isn't DLC coated!

Written on Apr 06, 2018

I wanted to buy a Master Hunter with the DLC black coating on the blade. The description of this knife (at the time)was for that exact knife. When the knife arrived, it was not coated at all. I complained to OP and shortly afterwards I noticed an added sentence in their description saying the knife is "Stonewashed". Stonewashed and DLC are 2 different knives, now making the description ambiguous. After I did some homework, I learned that the black DLC version (Model 36CC) has been discontinued. The uncoated stonewashed version (Model 36CB) is what is now being produced. OP needs to update their description and photos. Otherwise, it's a great knife that doesn't come with a rust inhibiting coating anymore. They are also made in Italy now. The handle is a little wider than the Taiwanese DLC model. This means that you have to push harder to get it seated in the sheath. This creates some stress on the sheath causing the 2 halves of the sheath to push apart at the knife handle end.
