. . . a forced review. I got the item in, but haven't had an opportunity to even install it, let alone actually get it to the range yet. It boiled down to, I wanted one, and they had it, and at a really good price. I will say, as with most Timney products I've gotten, I have utmost confidence that this will be an excellent trigger.

. . . this ammo is dirty AF!! After firing less than a full 25 round mag through my 10/22, I could taste and smell the powder residue all over me. Also, the powder burns with a smell somewhere between rotten eggs, and a week old dirty diaper!! It would've also been nice to know that "round nose" meant lead round-nose, and not copper jacketed; but I guess that's a gig on me for optimistically assuming they would be copper jacketed. And finally, I'm not entirely certain if it was the ammo's fault, or my mags, but it seemed like 1/5 rounds failed to feed from the mag properly. I ended up switching to another brand of ammo, and while it has feed issues as well, it was maybe one per mag; versus one every 5 or 6 rounds.

On the plus side, my buddy's single action revolver loved 'em; he was getting pretty decent accuracy with them too.

I got this thinking the concept of it would be interesting, and I was right. Being an ambidextrous, but primarily left-handed shooter, standard AR safeties are somewhat uncomfortable to operate, as I either have to actuate them with my trigger finger, or get an "ambi" safety, with levers on both sides. I got this thinking it would alleviate the need for levers, and it does.

������� . . . it is not "ambi" in the true sense of the term. Sure, you can actuate the device from either side of the receiver, but it's only one way for safe (actuate from right side of receiver), the other way for off safe (actuate from left side of receiver). If it was truly ambidextrous, you'd be able to reverse the device's position/orientation within the receiver, and essentially reverse function of the device. For example, Colt makes a standard format safety, that is reversible, making it a true ambi safety, whereas this device is not.

Also, when I got mine, I noticed the little red O-ring was protruding some from the fire side of the device, making it unable to be put into "safe." But this was easily rectified by simply pushing it back in. It does make me wonder if I'll find myself having to replace that at some point.

All that being said, for either left or right handed shooters, it is a novel approach to the AR safety, and I am (for the most part) satisfied with my purchase.

*- as an additional note, some reviews mention the function being a little stiff at first; I can confirm this. However
