Green laser is easily visible through a scope at 50 yards without difficulty against a white target or even a beige wall in daylight (especially if the target is not in direct sunlight). I could even see it without magnification and I am colorblind and my eyes aren't the best. I used this to bore-sight several rifles and even pistols out to 5o yards at home and was easily on paper at 100y at the range with .308, 6.5 and 223. Minor adjustment to refine zero at 100y and was ringing small steel targets at 200y in minutes. Made zeroing at the range fast, easy and fun, instead of frustrating. The magnet is strong and this design works on any barrel. Takes 1 CR123 battery (included) and comes in a nice, padded plastic case with a highly reflective target to make it even easier to see the green dot (do not shoot it, just use it for bore sighting). Your friends will want to borrow it!

This item is designed and made very well - as one would expect from Midwest. Since this is intended to replace the handguard on a Sig MCX Rattler or, in my case, to provide an alternative handguard for the MCX Canebrake, there is a good chance the buyer intends to shoot suppressed. BEWARE. For most suppressors, especially those with quick-disconnect collars, you would need to purchase the M.I. extended collar to put behind the muzzle device instead of the one that comes with the MCX from Sig. The Sig one is too short. My DeadAir Sandman would slide on, but the locking collar could not rotate inside the handguard. With the addition of the longer collar from M.I., I'm sure this would be resolved. The layout of the I went a different direction, but M.I. customer support was excellent in helping me figure out the problem, offering to send me the extended collar for free to see if that solved the issue and then offering to take the item back for a full refund without any hassle. Definitely buy this item. The layout of the MLok slots is better than the Sig guard and accommodates lights and such more easily. It's light and compact and machined nicely. I'm taking off 1 star for making the guard so narrow it can't accommodate most QD suppressor collars and also for not either including the longer barrel collar or clearly directing buyers to purchase it if they intend to use a suppressor.

I love that this bipod comes in a native M-Lok version to mount to the Remington 700 Magpul Enhanced chassis. The color matches perfectly, which makes the whole rifle look much better than with the cheap, Chinese-made bipod Remington includes in that box. However, there is a LOT of flex, wiggle and play in the hinges and, what's worse, when you pull the legs from horizontal to vertical (to use them) they "CLICK" into place VERY loudly. The spring-loaded, metal release button on each leg smacks into place against the plastic body to lock the leg in the down position. If you're planning on hunting with this bipod or using it in any tactical environment, it would startle your quarry and give away your position at a good distance unless you think to hold the button in while extending the legs and then releasing it slowly. It's really that loud. I expected more from Magpul and especially for the price. Probably going to return it and spend quite a bit more on a more established and pro-grade brand.
