1/2-28 threads!!!

My upper shipped with 1/2-28 threads. I couldn’t get my 1/2-36 obsidian mount to screw on. Tried my rugged occulus with 1/2-28 and it went on perfect. Cost me an extra $70 for a new direct mount. So that sucks.

Overall the color is uniform and nice. The fitment however needs lots of help. The dust cover doesn’t close without rubbing on one side. I’ll need to file the cover down to fit. The charging handle doesn’t pull smooth at all. I had to slam it in to get it to fit and after it rubbed down my Aero upper it finally moves. The safety selector is about 1/8” too wide so the selector without the pin is sitting off of the lower with a good gap. The anti rotation pins are stamped out and not uniform. I had to put the best side out to hide imperfections. The front takedown pin is also about 1/16” of an inch short. It is flush with the lower, while the rear pin stick out like normal. For the cost of this kit I would never buy it again.
Perfect Rngs for an Ultralight Rifle

It was hard to find a set of 34mm 2 piece rings for a Rem700 long action. These were perfect with the built in MOA. Went to Hawkins website because I didn’t know if the .55” (low) would work with my Leupold 4-24x52mm scope. No info there so I ordered hoping for the best. The fit was perfect I don’t know why they even make a high set. Plenty of room between the objective and barrel.

Q Brass Upcase 8.6BLK Hornady Stamp
I only got 99 pieces of brass in my bag. Kind of annoying. Other than that brass seems alright. It’s definitely has thinner brass at the mouth so we’ll see how many sub reloads I can get out of it.
