Seems like our opinions are very subjective and I would never put down another persons opinion.
That said, I don't share the other reviewers thoughts about this thermal scope other than the
zoom feature, which I hope is improved by a future firmware update.

Once you learn the IU it' ez to navigate, the LRF feature is ez to turn on and off, it doesn't annoy me.
I do think the AGM IU is much more intuitive, plus AGM is really responsive concerning firmware updates.

I would not hesitate in the least recommending this thermal unit. It is extremely useful on my ranch!!!, I can see all kinds
of critters 4 legged and 2 from 700 yards and beyond. I can ID pretty well at 600 yards. Detection is way beyond that.

I love the resolution, for the $$ this unit is a huge value.

Just learn the IU (it's kind of funky) but you'll be OK with this thermal. I can navigate the controls very easily.

This unit is also very good at picking up drones at night within a couple hundred yards.

It's cool to cold at night where I live all year around, this does give me an advantage in picking up targets at long ranges.
Targets really pop when I have the thermal color pallet on red.

This review is only a bench test. I’ve not yet shot with it.

First off let me say for the price this scope packs a big punch, soooo many goodies come with it.
This is one chunky heifer, it comes in at 28oz without the mount. But that is to be expected considering the bell & barrel size.
The dimensions listed for this scope are incorrect. The bell is 44mm not 40mm, all the better for light gathering IMHO.
Correct dimensions are 44mm objective(bell), 34mm tube, 2-12x.
My intended use is on a SPR rifle.

- General build: Beefy, robust, but I'm not going to do any drop testing to prove that point, however I believe this will hold up well in
day to day use.
The touch elements on this scope are grippy due to the aggressive knurling, better than the previous Tango MSRs I've
seen.

- Glass: I have an unfair advantage here, I have 2015 vision, to me average glass looks great and great glass absolutely spectacular.
To my eyes the glass is pretty good, it resolves very well, I was surprised at this for its price point.
I can easily glass deer in low light in a thicket at 400yards.

-Zoom Range: From 2 to 12 power it's quite good, the side focus is a must. To my eyes at 12 power I'm not seeing any real darkening in the
image.
Image quality does not degrade at 12power. But again I have to say, my 2015 visions gives me an advantage, if that makes any
sense

First of all, I want to say this is my first buying experience with OpticsPlanet
and it's been all good, I'm extremely pleased with OpticsPlanet and with their quality
of service and products they have provided me.
My first impressions using the KILO1400 bdx rangefinder has been good and I would recommend
this product, really love the BDX and have had good success with it. This RF ranges far beyond 1400 yards. The 5x power is a little low, but this RF is working out to be just find for me.

Addendum: I have made more purchases since buying the KILO1400... I love this company.
