I will never use anything else, they eliminate the need for anything else. No more ring lapping with messy compounds. No need for canted elevation bases, the ring inserts are the most compact and versatile way to add as little as 5 MOA cant or as much as 20 MOA (sometimes more). They can also correct for internal scope errors or out of alignment mounting rails - problems such as windage cant can be corrected and the scope can be mounted so that the reticle is centered so it has equal range of adjustment on both left and right windage. No more shims. They are the GREATEST.

This little headlamp is wonderful. I needed a headlamp to use when star gazing or for star parties, so the red light mode of this thing is perfect. But ... I really don't need a white light in these situations so I just cover the white LEDs with red tape. I suppose that by using red tape any headlamp can be modified for astronomical situations. This little light uses 2 CR2032 batteries which are kind of small so I wonder about their runtime. However, the lamp itself is also very small and the price is right so I can have a several of them stashed around the house or car or equipment bags. Highly recommended.

Since this "Eyepiece Cellphone Adapter" was inexpensive, I got a little lazy and did not study up on it before ordering like I do on most items. There needs to be a 'Maybe' choice for recommendiing items. I would recommend it only if I were confident that the ocular side of all the eyepieces I wanted to use it with were small enough to fit. When I ordered this adapter I was assuming that it would fit my Meade 4000 8-24 Zoom (07199-2); this is the primary eyepiece that I use with my Celestron C90MAK Spotting scope (#52268). It does not fit as I hoped it would for afocal photography. So, upon further investigation, it seems that this adapter was never intended to be used this way. There were no instructions in the box, if I can figure out how to use it, I will post an update.

I have been getting interested in astrophotography, particularly through the eyepieces so I could get more variety of magnifications than what a prime lens setup will allow. So, I asked Meade's tech support (via their website) about using this zoom with cameras with T-adapters and whether or not this zoom had threads under the rubber eyecup for connecting a camera. They said that this was not possible, but when I finally got one these eyepieces and removed the rubber cup - VOILA! there actually are M42 / T-threads. The one gotcha for buying this eyepiece is that it was redesigned about 2 years ago and I got mine about a year ago so I do not know which version I have. Mine has a black barrel and the other one has a chrome barrel, I think the chrome barrel is the older one but I am not sure. I also do not know if the chrome barrel version has the threads under the eyecup. Otherwise the eyepiece seems to be decent quality and works pretty good.

Cheapest charging handle I could find to go with cheapest carbine 556 upper and cheapest BCG I could find to create cheapest total upper for iron sights only target shooting. Fits both the noname upper and my Bushmaster upper just fine. Would probably buy again,
it works.

This Plano 109540 compares very well to my SKB iSeries 3i 5014-6, it is a little larger and cost less. Plano also sells replacement foam for much less than SKB (contact Plano by email to order). I plan to configure it for use with more than one set of gear so I need multiple sets of foam. I think this will be a great case.

These Ammo Crates sre great for keeping my ammo indoors. I keep some of my shooting stuff in the garage but the temperature and humidity variation is huge out there. Probably not absolutely necessary to keep the ammo inside, these crates allow me to keep ammo stashed under sofa where it is indoors yet out of sight.

coolest camera on the planet, and not really that expensive considering the cost of a high quality spotting scope with enough magnification to work beyond 1000 yards, and the Ammocam image is not distorted by mirage affect.
