It is really hard to beat the Aimpoint Pro. It's a rugged sight, lasts years on a single battery, comes with lense covers and a mount. When someone asks what red dot to get, I always suggest the Aimpoint Pro.
This mount brought my CompM4s to the preferred height over the factory mount. I prefer to run a FSB so this is a true lower 1/3 co-witness. The factory mount was in between absolute and lower 1/3. The tactical lever is not too big, a lot better than the giant knob on factory mount. Only complaint is the lever adjustment is not as fine as say a Larue. It locks in place but the lever is real easy to lock in place. Another turn on the adjustment and it feels like I will crush the rail if I were to try to lock it in place. I've had other ADM mounts, they're all like this. Overall 4.5/5
I bought my first Blue Force sling about 7 years ago. The quality is apparent when you hold it. Comparing this to a $10 sling is like comparing a good gun belt to a $10 belt. The adjustment feature is pretty awesome. I always recommend this sling first, they see the price, then buy something cheap. Then they wind up buying this anyway. Skip the middle step and just buy this.
BCM decided to change the design of their charging handle. This new model is nice but I prefer the old style. The new medium is slightly larger than the old small. I suspect the new large is the size of the old medium. The previous model was solid in the back vs this design being split so the latch can pivot. I get a little more blow back with this charging handle shooting suppressed. The old model seemed like a stronger design. The latch would hit the solid aluminum (which was their selling point) vs this latch pivoting all the way back. The old model is still available as the Vltor charging handle, the old GFCH was marked Vltor BCM
Absolutely love it. I like Streamlights for pocket carry and work but my guns get Surefires. The mini scouts are the perfect size for SBRs and pistols. I really like the Pro mount. Only 3.6oz with a built in mount vs the m300c 4.1oz plus a mount. Sits super close to my rail. Might have to get the m640DF next
Using this in a Colt 11.5 upper with a FSB. Very convenient to change the gas settings and keep the FSB. Works as it should. Clicks are positive. Finish is smooth. Staking is good but not great. If you don't want an adjustable gas block then this is a great option.
Great little sight. Looks perfect on my Hellcat, like they were meant to be. Not sure why someone would need to take their gun to a gunsmith to have a red dot installed. It's a 2 screw install. Used a laser bore sight and it was zeroed. I had to max out the elevation to zero. I would deduct half a star for that but it's still zeroed so it works. You get a glass lens and aluminum body instead of plastic on plastic from the competition that costs twice as much. The Hellcat has a VERY large front sight so you can see about half of it. Not ideal but it works. On any other gun it would be a deal breaker. Swampfox should incorporate a sight channel of some sort. I've had it for about 6 months, carried everyday and I shoot at least 3 rounds a day, everyday. Overall I'm happy and would recommend it with the caveat that your front sight will most likely be obscured.
