The Safariland 6378 left hand holster for the Smith & Wesson M & P Shield is well made with an excellent finish and
fit. Because of the size of the weapon concealability would depend on whether you wear it under a t-shirt or a coat.
It definitely prints and bulges under a t-shirt. The retention capability is sufficient. The retention lever could be
made larger with serrations where your thumb contacts the forward face of it to make it less slippery.
Now for the negative part of this review. I ordered the holster on Sept. 4th 2017. I did not receive it until Oct. 7th
2017. The order had an "estimated To Ship" within 15-24 days. In actuality it took 33 days to receive it. I took into
consideration that I shouldn't include Labor Day. Regardless of the fact that it's a left handed holster and that it
may have been somewhat of "custom order" it shouldn't have taken that long. Safarilands website includes a note on
their ordering page that specifies "Custom made for you within 14 days. Special products may take longer". I will say
that customer service was considerate and supposedly shipped it to me within two days of them receiving it in stock.
Would I purchase from Optics Planet again? Possibly. Do I think they need to do a better job of following-up
late orders received from manufacturers? Absolutely. I do believe that if I had ordered it from Safariland directly I
would have received it MUCH faster! Possibly by two weeks.
