Received this hoping it was fully functional and not simply for looks.

Pro's -
Fast shipping and well packaged. I am 6'1" 220 lb, 37" waste. The unit fit once I removed the belt and adjusted, impossible to adjust with the belt attached. Unit is light weight and had good amount of storage spaces.

Con's -
Belt is stiff and difficult to adjust. The 3 pockets on the right for the AR15 type mag's will only take one (1) 30 round mag comfortably, I tried a second and might be able to force it in however getting it out would take some doing, for speed reload this would not work and AR10 mag's are out of the question. The magazine holders for semi-side arms on the left chest, you can fit a single or double stack but only one, same as the larger carrier, limited.

I did not try the holster as with the Con's it has this is not a keeper for me. If you want to have the look but not the functionality, this will work, for those wanting to be a fully functional unit, not this one.

Will be returning. Gave it a 2 star because the con's outweighed the pro's but it had some pro's.

Ordered this vest and was impressed by some of the reviews.

I want to start with the positives first.
Planet Optic processed, packed, and ship timely, arrived in good condition. Ultimately they also processed the return label quickly.
The unit includes inside pockets, magazine carriers, a side arm holster that would accommodate a mid sized revolver or up to a 1911 from the looks, I think a Micro would get lost in the holster. Plenty of magazine carriers for semi side arms and the unit is adjustable even for a tall person like myself.

The negatives and why I sent it back.
Right out of the box it smells horrible, whatever they used in China to make this it stayed with it, aired out overnight and my office now smells and my eyes are watery. The unit is really stiff, the box it came in was more pliable. The belt is unusable, it too is stiff and will not wrap around you flat. The 2 removable magazine holders (large capacity) on the left are only held on by velco and cannot be fully seated due to the side arm holster, with 2 - 30 round mag's that will be heavy and susceptible to loss.

All in all I could not get past the negatives of this unit in a very short time. I do want to thank Planet Optics for handling this return.

Received this scope from OP.com without issue, well packed. I will start off by saying I am returning the unit but nothing OP.com did.

First the good - Easy to mount and the battery is fairly easy to install.

Now the not so good - Before mounting I could tell the eye relief was not going to be good. Put up the scope and you have to be really close to get full view. Mounted the scope on an AR and tried putting it up, terrible view like looking through a small hole. Moved the scope back as far as possible and raised it 3/4" to give some clearance for the Charging Handle which was better but still not seeing the full view unless I crane my neck forward an inch or so, very uncomfortable.

Either way, you never know until you try. For some this may work well, for me it did not, the price was right just not a fit for me. OP.com seems to have an easy return policy and process so let's see how that works out. I will try another sight I am sure.

I recently purchased this unit from OP.com. This was the first time I am trying a dot on an AR so it was interesting to see how this worked. The unit arrived on time, no issues, well packed. Mounting was straight forward, the mount is secure and perfect height to put the dot just over the front fixed sight, the unit can be mounted far enough forward to be out of the way not, yet still have a clear view. I laser bore sighted and made minor adjustments.
Went to the range this weekend to give this a try. Clear field of view and dot was clearly visible on a sunny day. Took me about 20 rounds to get used to it but right off the bat I was easily on a paper plate at 50 yards, a few adjustments and a few more rounds I was dead nuts center. Hitting metal silhouettes at 75 and then 150 by round 50. I put about 150 rounds through, still on target, no movement. My standard fixed sights are still usable if needed with the rear flipping down and out of the way, very nice. The covers are solid and out of the way, no issues.
One suggestion, take the manual with you the first time, I did not and spend a few pushes to remember what was on and off, my fault, still learning the unit.
For close range shooting for me, within 150 yards, I recommend this unit.
