I have a Ruger 77 Hawkeye Compact. I have tried and tried on three occasions to get this trigger to work properly. on the first try It worked,the trigger was a huge improvement from the factory trigger. ONE ISSUE, when I set the three position safety to the middle position to open the bolt and unload the firearm the firing pin would sometimes fall or partially fall. I tried a couple times on various occasions but nothing seemed to work. Also the trigger weight screw is almost cranked in for the sear to engage without releasing the firing pin, so there is not much room for adjustment. I called Rifle Basics yesterday (12/9/2023) and spoke to someone and they were essentially nonchalant about what I had to do, it seem straight forward, so I tried again following their and the instructions supplied and I have to admit I'm not getting anywhere and because I am now out of the 30 day window for returning this trigger and am going to have to eat the $91 I have sunk into this project. In reading Optic Planet's return policy, I am unsure they would have accepted it back anyway "The item must be returned in NEW condition (not used, worn, broken, mounted, etc.)"

This was my second LimbSaver AirTech Precision-fit Recoil Pad. My first was for a Tikka 3x in .308 Winchester caliber. Unfortunately this did not fit my Ruger 77 Compact Hawkeye. It should fit a regular Ruger 77 with a wooden stock, but it was too large for the Ruger 77 Compact Hawkeye. As for the fit on my Tikka, - perfect, and function was much better than the stock Tikka Recoil Pad. It did not change LOP on the Tikka.

I must admit, I really wanted to like this stock, but I don't. I palm area is way too big to comfortably grip. It is designed to have your hand off to the side without your thumb riding over the stock. Build and fit quality is good, but it really doesn't fit me. Will be selling it to try something else, unfortunately, I cannot return the item to Optics Planet because of the 30 day time period has lapsed and I have had it mounted it to my rifle. Just not my cup of tea. I wish I could have held one and shot a rifle with it mounted, I would have known right off it wasn't for me.
