Level Does Not Properly Engage Picatinny Rails

Written on Dec 21, 2019

The bubble units base is approximately 2-3mm short of allowing good mate-up with units clamping element. Extreme cant of the clamping element is experienced, giving way to improper rail fit and erroneous read-out. I too was misled by those good/expert ratings. You may add Hawke Sport's offering to the long list of those who can't muster, since the passing of BSquare's good product... if you will.

Workmanship/Attention to Detail/Functionality are well above par... to the degree scope mount twist lock clamping plates are even spring loaded for ready installation/clamp down. Azimuth/Elevation adjustments are definite clicks... with knobs able to be to be reset to a "0" reading and locked. Reticle's central area crosshairs are fine (not to thick)with the thicker side bars set back not dominating ones view. Field of view is clear with good light gathering at all magnification settings... given proper attention is paid parallax and ocular lens diopter settings. Note... parallax setting requires firm finger grip to adjust. In an AR fit-up good rifle stability/balance is able to be maintained with the scopes 23.2 oz added weight... though scope's weight may be objectionable to some. Various reticle illumination colors are there to suit individual taste for use over provided non-illuminated black reticle. Reticle illumination brightness is adjustable with nominal disagreeable back glare at highest setting. Once sighted in settings stayed good through repeated shots and scope removal/re-installation, giving credence to staying locked in... time will tell. All up... this scope appears to be the one to beat in this price range... if not the next one.

Workmanship, layout, attention to features and detail are above average. Field of view, clarity, and light gathering qualities are similar to others in this price range. Reticle thickness is on the heavy side... possibly not be to ones liking. Particular attention must be given quick release tension adjustment... avoiding stripping threads. The scope's rail mount base is removable accommodating rotation of base 180 degrees... giving choice of quick release latch to be on either side.

Workmanship and attention to detail are above average. Light gathering, field of view, and clarity qualities are satisfactory for a scope in this price range... noting there are others out there with greater offerings. Azimuth/Elevation adjustments are definite and holding clicks. Mono mount design requires particular base retaining nut tension attention to hold zero.
