OUTSTANDING TRIGGER! SHORT, LIGHT STROKE AND RESET, AND SMOOTH AS GREASED GLASS!

Written on Sep 25, 2021

In the past, I have always used Timney triggers, however they were out of stock for my application. I then decided to give the CMC 2.5lb trigger a try, knowing that if I didn't like it I could return it. I am glad I mad that decision, because the CMC trigger is as good or better than any trigger I have used, and at a SIGNIFICANTLY better price than the similar Timney I thought I needed. I highly recommend this trigger for experienced and long range shooters... people who know and understand the need to keep the chamber empty until their gun is pointed downrange. Very light triggers are very dangerous, unless great care is taken during their use.

STEINER - Schmidt & Bender Quality At Significant Savings

Written on Apr 22, 2019

My Steiner T5Xi 5-25x56mm SCR Reticle Scope is crystal clear edge-to-edge, and powerful enough at 25X to read the bald spots on a snow covered mounatin peak about 5 miles away from my shop here in Utah. The 34mm tube is very strong, and supports the light gathering capabilities of the 56mm objective lens beautifully. The turrets click firmly into place, and the eye relief is very good for a shooter with 20-20 vision. My use is for LR/ELR target shooting, but so far the longest I have shot with it is 1,500 yards, and - every time my hold is true - it wil hit steel at that range (no scope is responsible for user error). It tracks perfectly on a ladder target, and returns to dead zero consistently. There is some acceptable resistance in the zoom function, but it is smooth as a baby's bottom, and the minor resistance will likely go away with use... or I will have become comfortable with it over time (nobody wants a sloppy loose zoom anyway). All advertised items were included, and the zoom throw lever is an $80 item by itself! The Steiner T5Xi has impressed all my family and friends who have looked through it, and I cannot imagine a better scope at any "working-class affordable" price. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND the Steiner T5Xi 5-25x56mm SCR Reticle Scope!

OUTSTANDING!!

Written on Apr 17, 2018

The Dewey line of cleaning rods set the standard for all cleaning rods. Their swivel handle is flawless, and the nylon coating on the rod itself minimizes the potential for scratching your firearm's bore. Because of their design and the way they function, Dewey rods are the choice of most benchrest and long range shooters. They are the people who demand smooth function and maximum accuracy from their firearms. To them, 1/2MOA (1/2" 5-shot group size @100yds, 1.5" @300yds, etc.) is considered a bit loose, so to insure their firearms have that capability, they will only use the BEST of support tools - and when it comes to CLEANING equipment, that choice is DEWEY!

A top quality optic at a ridiculously low price point!

Written on Apr 12, 2018

WARNE has an excellent and DESERVED reputation for mounts and rings. When its properly installed following the torque specification instructions it will give your scope an extra 20MOA of upper range thereby eliminating an otherwise necessary spate of epithets because you ran out of height adjustment on your scope turret at 800plus yards. If you have a WARNE mount and rings and a high quality 6x24x50 FFP scope and you miss your target do not blame your optics blame yourself. The same comments apply to the WARNE 30MOA.

This in an amazing optic for long range shooters, at a ridiculously low price point for a FFP scope

There are a LOT of people who would really enjoy ringing steel at 1,000 yards but cannot afford a Schmidt and Bender or a Vortex riflescope. For those folks I recommend saving their pennies for a few months and then ordering an Athon BTR FFP
6-24 or perhaps wrongfully assuming the quality is consistent throughout the Athlon line, any other Athlon FFP scope. Targets and crosshairs remain crisp and clear at all ranges out to 1,000 yards which is well beyond the distance most shooters have interest in BECAUSE THEY LACK EQUIPMENT CAPABLE OF PERFORMING AT THAT DISTANCE. PLUS you get the added advantage of a lighted reticle to insure you are on-target even at sunset or on those days when the available light is less than desirable.

You cannot go wrong with the Athlon Argos BTR and their MOA reticle. If it should ever cease to function properly I would buy this scope again BUT IT HAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY so I wouldn't have to BUY it again.

Poor punctuation is due to OP's special character ban.
