Let's face it, this costs a LOT of money. I used to walk by NightForces at Cabela's and think that you either had to be a bonafide sniper like Chris Kyle or just have a crapload of money to justify it, never doubting that the reputation was well-earned. I have never bought a scope over $500, so this was a huge investment. I wanted a scope that I could hunt with but could also hit beyond 1000 yards. After much research, I settled on this. I mounted it on a Tikka T3 CTR in .308 (exceptionally accurate stock rifle) with some Vortex Precision Rings, because frankly it deserves great hardware. Finally shot my new rig today at the indoor 100 yard range.

The glass is extraordinary. It was SO bright and vivid at 100 even racked out to 15x. After really breaking in my new rifle's barrel, I was able to hit .28 MOA on one of my groups. Insane. The rifle is amazing, but the scope was just exceptional to dial in. The dials are precise and easy to work with. After getting it zeroed, I undid the elevation turret and took it down to the zero stop and it is spot-on. I can't wait to take it to a long range and work the dials.

It is just feels like a tank, totally solid. I saw a video of a NightForce rep throwing a dialed-in scope as far as he could and then re-mounting it and hitting zero right on the mark. I believe it.
