Used this to mount a vortex venom on a p226. Well made, easy to install don’t see any reason why it won’t stay put. Great option to install a red dot on a non optic handgun. Have put a couple hundred rounds though it with no problems, with the mount or the sight.

Vortex Venom 1x26.5mm Red Dot Sight
First experience with a red dot sight on a handgun, mounted it with an evolution gun works mount. I opted for the 6moa version for eyesight and experience reasons. The sight was very easy to install. As some of the other reviewers have indicated, it’s very difficult to close the battery compartment once you install the battery. On the range 6 rounds to walk it to the center of a 25 yard bullseye target. Locating the “dot” was easier than I thought, it’s fast and very accurate. I’m absolutely satisfied thus far with the quality and performance of this optic.
