Weapon light cover
Written on May 27, 2017
I purchased this to protect the bezel on a Surefire Intelibeam light I had just installed on my AR. I had to mount the light pretty far forward on the hand rail that the bezel was close to the muzzle break. I was concerned the bezel would get damaged from any muzzle debris so I added this cover that doesn't have to be opened. I could keep it closed at the range, it would still let enough light thru closed if I forgot to opened it in a emergency. If it doesn't get hit with any debris from the muzzle I will remove it. I know its not the intended use but I wanted to protect my $200 + light.

I purchased the GG&G lens cover to protect the glass om my Eotech 512. It works great and installs very easy. I like that the front cover acts like a sun shade. The rear cover does make a little noise when it flips onto the Eotech housing even with the rubber pads that were supplied to stick on the housing. The rear cover is a little hard to close but should get better with usage. Glad I purchased this to protect my investment in the glass.

Suprisingly satisfied

I didn't expect much because of the relatively low price, thought I was going to give it to my son. When I opened the box it had some weight to it, solidly built and functional. The bipod legs extend and retract well. Thinking it was too heavy I weighed it and my Harris bipod HBRS 6-9" swivel and the Harris bipod was 1 oz. heavier and does not work as a front grip and kind of gets in the way when your not shooting from a bench. The quick release is a good feature. I'm going to keep it, sorry son you'll have to buy your own.
