Very bright

Written on Oct 20, 2025

I bought the yellow, but may go to orange. If you charge the yellow front sight in daylight, it really glows nice in the dark.

Works great on my Sig and 1911

Finally, a quality tool. It takes a little work and experimenting to learn to set up your receiver the first time, but once you get it, you got it. Had a Sig and sights ruined in the past. Masking tape your receiver well. It pressed my Sig dovetails off and on easily. No filing or sanding. Everything just has to aligned properly and removed from left to right and installed right to left.

Nice contrast

I have installed on my H&K and Sig with no issues. I did have a Wheeler sight tool that worked great, but no filing needed to get started. It's tight and it has to be aligned perfectly. I already had a set destroyed with a cheap sight tool and skinned pistol paying someone else, so get a proper tool and be successful the first time. I have Sig M11 & MK25 and if you want the front sight to stand up and out when you present your pistol, you want the 0.225 so it will be a bit higher and you get on target faster. It's about being first if you have to.

Works fantastic for Sigs

It's cheaper than when I bought it, but this is the pretty easy and works great for 1911s, Sig, etc, with pressed sights. You need to masking tape your slide, read the instructions 3 times and then be patient learning to set up your slide and adjust just right. After the first time, it's really easy and obvious for the next time. I paid to have mine installed, by an idiot I now know, with a crappy universal tool. Ruined my sights, scratched my pistol and all I got was sorry. I consider myself only half an idiot and I managed without destroying anything. Once you understand how to use it, you can actually make extra cash installing a few to pay for the tool. They usually install from right to left in my experience. I didn't have to sand or file to get them started.

Great tool

This works great on my H&K, Sig, 1911 sights. Couldn't have been much easier.

Best window yet

Love this. Perfect sized and shaped objective, works great on my TP 9, green dot and brightness levels are excellent, includes a cover also, I like the objective shape and size better than my Viper. Nice crisp round dot, you don't have to lean your head over as far to see the dot because of the bigger more round shaped objective

great price to equip multiple shotguns and close range weapons

I started with Steiner MRS but was disappointed in quality. I found these before Christmas for $149 each so I bought 4 for what I needed to equip and anything else I might need to. Very satisfactory. The 2nd one out of the box I had a pain trying to get the battery cap threads to start but finally got it. Small, light and work plus have a cover. 6 MOA is better for shotgun but I would mount it on anything I needed to point and shoot at. I have on a couple of pistol PDWs, uh.. I guess they are rifles now according to ATF but in the stress any real action you will probably be lucky to hit inside 6MOA anyway. I am happy with them. Battery cap on third one was hard to start threads also but did and then there is Vortex warranty, so.

One good one, one monday sight

Written on Jan 21, 2023

The first one I received worked good. The second one never worked and I'm returning. I expected a bit better quality from Steiner. The first one is starting to act up and the dot stays on really dim so I loosen battery cap. Sometimes it goes out normal. Other times I loosen the cap. I was going to put on all my dot guns but I found Vortex Viper for $150 each and they worked and with 6MOA probably better for my Benelli and 1301. Did I mention cheap and always work. Might need a riser on some guns. Vortex warranty is well, what can I say

great magnifier and easy to use ir not use design

I got the 5X but I am going to get the 3X for my AUG with the Falke LE red dot. I almost want one for myTavor 7 but I have the Steiner T536 on it and it seems to be perfect for a short rifle. I got the 3X since I had the 5 for more field of view but it's probably enough. The built in flip to side design is excellent and no extra mount or money needed to make it work. These were on sale for black Friday and hard to pass up. I was able to effectively equipment everything and be done. Again the quality and little adjustment I had to do was superb

Excellent quality

I'm usually a Meprolight 21 type of guy especially for my Tavors but I'm very impressed with the quality and attention to detail of these. I really like the reticle and the 2MOA dot. Everything about it screams quality to me and it's very well thought out in my opinion down to the ARD that comes with it. Positive adjustments and crisp reticle. It definitely will co witness perfectly with my Meprolight flip up tritium sights.
