What a difference

Written on Nov 09, 2017

After purchasing various night vison scopes, (ATN X-sight 1 & 2, Pulsar N550) I made the jump to Thermal.
I checked the reviews between the various manufacturers. I decided that the Pulsar fit the bill better than ATN or Armasight. (ATN's customer service leaves a lot to be desired..)

I purchased the XP instead of the XQ for the clearer image. Plus I figured that as long as I was spending that amount money I may as well buy the better one.

Like most Pulsar products, the instructions included were not the greatest, but the internet is a wonderful thing for getting instructions from actual users.

The image quality is great and once I figured out the "FREEZE" function, zeroing was a easy.

The included mount that attaches to the scope is not real stable. I have since purchased a new mount that makes changing between guns easy. The gun holds zero great.

As far as zeroing, I used dry chemical hand warmers. (Hot Hands)

Don't bother until they fix it

Written on Feb 03, 2015

Having purchased ATN items in the past, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Well, was I wrong! Having seen the advertisement for the scope at the Shot Show, I placed the order.I received the scope in late December. I mounted the scope on a custom AR with a White Oak Armory barrel in 204 Ruger. This gun shoots less than a 1/2 minute angle all day long with factory Hornady 40 grain bullets. I sighted the gun in at 100 yds. Three shots in a clover leaf at 5x. The trouble started when I tried to zoom the scope beyond the 5x. While zooming the scope the crosshairs moved off the center and off the screen. The point of impact moved 6 inches low and left when I got the crosshairs back on the screen. ATN says the problem will be fixed, my question is why put this scope on the market when it doesn't do what it's advertised to. I haven't even gotten to the poor night vision capabilities of the scope. The firmware fixes that ATN has made hasn't fixed the biggest POI problem. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCOPE. Pulsar makes a better product. ATN PS-22 is also a much better product
