Review for
Trijicon AccuPower 4-16x50 Rifle Scope
I’m comparing this to an owned Sig Tango4 6-24, and occasional use of their people's scopes. The eye relief is a little sensitive at 16x but definitely still useable. At 24x, my tango has twice as forgiving of an eye box. Looking at distant fine lines, it’s apparent that the Sig has no noticeable chromatic aberration, while this trijicon has a little. I frequently shoot in hot, flat environments and this scope handles that mirage well, and this aberration may be a correction for these environments. I’ve shot this in Competition Dynamics field matches with lots of wind and dust over long distances and the glass does a good job of repelling dust somehow. It has tracked true, and has an 18 MOA rotation on the plastic knob which is easily resettable but has no zero stop or locking rotation. The body has resisted any dings and scratches. I like numbers on my BDC since counting sucks, and this scope has excellent edge clarity for this use, like all Trijicons I’ve observed. I paid $625 for this scope on a promotion, and I think it’s a very safe bet for a good shooter in this price range.
