My ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 came in on Tuesday of last week. I was out of the country for a few days. So today I went out to setup a bait station for a hog hunt on Saturday night and took the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 along to check some distances to the bait station. Since I own a couple of other range finders why not compare. Range Finder A cost me $650 a couple of years ago and has a listed range of 1000 yards. Range Finder B cost me $295 almost 5 years ago. All distances were originally measured using a steal 100 yard tape then checked with certified survey laser. At fifty yards all three were spot on. At a hundred yards Range Finder B showed 99 yards while the other 2 were on track. I checked every 50 yards and the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 and Finder A were matching up to the known distances out to 500 yards. At a 1000 yards Range Finder A lost a yard and was reading 999 yards while the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 showed a reading of 1000 yards. I went out to 1200 yards and the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 was till matching up with survey laser. I was very impressed with that. When you add in the ballistics capabilities for a standard scope and its ability to connect by Bluetooth the ATN X-Sight IIs and the HD Thors it is an incredible value for the price. I highly recommend it.
