I really like the safe and finally decide to keep it rather than return it. First the lock failed (open) on arrival. I was able to open the panel up and find the screw that fell out (poor workmanship). Despite that, the box looks very strong and well built. Beyond that lack of quality control (China), and as many people have reported in other reviews, the lock mechanism can fail. The engineer designers used the same black lock knob that has no pressure on the locking mechanism on most safes (I have a Harbor Freight safe and it is very similar). However, on this safe there it a lot of pressure on it so it it is hard to close the lock knob. It feels like it will break the plastic eventually and frankly it is a difficult hand turn (I guess I am getting old). I get around it by using the key to keep it open and simultaneously turning the back knob and then release the key. That only take some pressure off the black knob but I hope it will be enough to keep it working. The good news is the electronic opening is as reliable and convenient as the 2600KP handgun safe. I really like the many RFID discs and keychain options - the wristband that comes with the unit does not open it on the center of the band but by the buckle which is inconvenient as well as very strange. The safe could hold 2 guns but not easily with any accessories. Otherwise it is a good size safe. The door opens hard and loud but seems reliable (a plus when you really need to get inside quick). This is a very nice hand gun safe and appears strong (however, I did not take a hammer or pry-bar to it to check). It seems to open all the time and the variety of RFID options is very convenient. The wristband is worthless that come with the unit. It is nice enough but the RFID is not on the spot that would make it easy to open. They did send a new one of a different type (black rubber workout band) that at least opens the safe quickly. I don't see it as a big deal since I would never wear the band in "normal" situations. The other discs and key ring are practical and reliable. The key code also works well as does the key. The best part is the battery is backed up with wall power (or car 12 volt) which is 95% of the time. The only other comment is that it makes a loud noise when open (as does all the quick access safes I have). Again, in most circumstances it is not a problem. The volume inside very good but more of a square shape so long barrels may be a problem (about 9"diagonal or 7"x7.5"). The padding is typical egg-crate foam and is adequate to keep even small items from moving around. Overall it is a 4+ rating and if it were less expensive it would be a 5 Star.

Yes, you have to trim two of the screws that come with the rail to fit the Mossberg 930. Not that hard with a mini grinder and the threads were fine. Otherwise good finish and strength for price. When mounting an optic or other rail (I added a 45 offset for a light/laser) you get a nice grove to look through and line up with the front sight.

Nice box for the price! You could not bust it by hand and I don't think a screw driver would get it open. Nice black finish and slightly better keys than a typical money lockbox. For a car or home safe it works well for any 380 or smaller 9mm. Inside practical size is 7.5" x 5.25" but it could squeeze in a hair more depending on the shape of pistol. Depth is hard to measure but the P938 with an thick rubber grip fits in with a tight squeeze on the foam pads which are 1/2" thick and good foam. Made in China.

Small so you carry it with you in any pocket but bright enough to be a defensive weapon. Simple and has a pushbutton on the side. Many modes. I like the red light as an option. Battery life on turbo is good. Narrow beam. A great defensive option and something you can carry all the time.
