The Crossfire 4-12x40mm is a good scope in its price range. Good clarity but not as good as the Diamondbacks that I have. My biggest concern is the eye box, at 12 power it is small and very touchy. The scope was meant to be a hunting scope but it is best used as a 10 power and not 12 power to aviod the eyebox problem.
These are nearly identical the discontinued Remington sabot with the Barnes slug. I had good luck with the Remington's and now the Barnes Vortex. My 1100 with cantilevered, rifled barrel preferers lower velocity (1450-1600fps). Accuracy is very good and the deer don't farther than 20 yards. I sight in for a 100 yard zero which makes me good from 0 to 130 yards with no hold over.
This is an update to my previous review. I now have shot 250-300 rounds with this KonusPro and it is still working great, good clarity, bright in low light conditions, no shift in reticle. The scope windage adjustment works smoothly but the elevation knob is stiff. I do not think this scope will "shoot the square" but for the money it has performed very well. Just shot a 1.5 inch, 6 shot group at 200 yards and that included a quarter minute angle windage adjustment for shots 4 thru 6 using my pet load of 168 ELD's and AA2520 in my Savage FCP 308.
This mount did not fit tightly after installation. I had to use an over sized washer on the left side receiver screw to keep the mount from moving. The slot on the mount was too wide and allowed the mount to move until I installed the washer.
Bought this for my heavy barreled .308. The clarity is good for the price and windage/elevation dials adjust easily. But they are not consistent in moving impact each time but I was able to get a good zero. I used it in a team sniper match and we did win the match. I have only shot about 100 rounds through it so I don't know how well it will hold up over time.
