This heavier buffer delays bolt unlocking by a small period of time, which allows the fired brass extra time to cool a bit, and also to spring back from its expanded state. Both of these factors help the brass disengage from the chamber wall, easing extraction.

I have a lower resting in this block as I write. It’s quite hard and can resist the hammer hits necessary to drive pins.
It has a nice feature that it will hold the forward assist forward the right amount as you drive the pin.

Some detachable magazine conversions for bolt actions allow the magazine to be pushed up too far. For example, if the magazine is resting on a barricade, it can be pushed up far enough to interfere with the bolt movement.
The front lip on this magazine prevents this.

I trust Magpul engineering above many other companies. This piece is no exception. It has a little extra material on the backstrap, to fill the gap found on many AR10s. Also there are many options for interior storage, including oil bottles, spare bolts, etc.

These savior cases have thick foam padding all around, including under the zipper. And the inside is configurable with hook and loop fasteners.
The zippers appear study, and the zipper pulls can come together and lock.

All adjustable gas blocks (in my experience) accumulate carbon fouling. These Sentry 7s are simple and easy to service in case of excessive carbon buildup. Disassembly is straightforward, and rebuild kits are available if you call SLR.

Need a flat base

My Howa came with a 20moa biased base, and my qd scope mount also was 20moa biased. I needed a flat base, because there was no way I wanted a total of 40moa. This appeared well made, and did the trick.

It’s nice to have an AICS magazine for my bolt action, designed by Magpul engineers. The magazine looks to be reinforces in the right places, and the spring is precipitation hardened stainless, strong and tough.

MDT XRS Chassis System
This chassis is simple, strong and adjustable. The length of pull adjusts with spacers, so the recoil pad is well supported. The cheek piece adjustment has two supports, so it is strong too. M-lok slots are built into the forend.
