Amazingly good sight with QD for a couple hundred bucks? Yes!

Written on Apr 02, 2025

Mounted at 3:00 position, so be aware of windage and elevation adjustments. Zeroed in minutes and held zero after two hundred rounds. Great. I believe the LS Series is being replaced by the LE Series for a hundred bucks or so more. The LE is claiming that the titanium housing is the cat's meow. Maybe, but I'm a civilian that doubts I'll need to go past 2, 3, 4, or 5 more rounds to secure my home and whatever's around me, so the aluminum bodied LS, for a couple hundred bucks has me more than completely satisfied. Momentary switch (they call it a pressure switch) is flawless. If this is still available, and not being replaced with the LE Series, I will buy six more, just to have around. It's that good. The QD part is worth more than that to me. It's a max green laser, it holds zero, it's easy to set up, it holds zero, it's a great price, it holds zero, and you cannot beat the price for an amazingly quality product. Did I mention that it hold zero?

It's a cool concept, but cumbersome and flawed

Written on Mar 26, 2025

I liked the idea of having another area for foregrip, but I simply don't like it. I never thought I'd need something like this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Some would think it's cool looking, but it does nothing for function (for me). Aside form that, and the most troublesome, was that it hangs up your magazine, and you have to forcefully pull your mag out instead of dumping it! I'm sure this can be rectified with a Dremel Tool or a file, but NOTHING should prevent the immediate release of your mag. I put this very easily onto an FN15, so there was torqueing to get it to fit that might have mis-shapened it, so it definitely wasn't user-error that made it hang up the magazine. Again, this was on a mil-spec FN15DMR2, not some Frankengun that may have a some weird flared/un-flared magwell.

PERFECT Green Laser in all aspects

Written on Mar 26, 2025

I got a really great deal on this and was leery about its quality and ability to hold zero. I shouldn't have been leery - this thing is incredible. I've seen some people complain about it only having a momentary switch, but I have no need to be constantly "advertising" with it in normally closed, switched position. It's also better to have muscle memory in using momentary "on" under all circumstances. While I've never used a military-issue laser, I can probably say that this thing is as good as anything out there for what's needed for civilian use. Could not give a higher recommendation.

The only minor drawback is the extra length of cable for the switch. Easily remedied with "Guardtier" wire management system though. Not enough to downgrade this by even a fraction of a star - this laser is that good......

Unique Ambi Safety

Written on Mar 26, 2025

What a difference this makes. I can easily engage safety with the top of my thumb (nail), without utilizing the trigger finger, which also is extremely easy to do due to it's unique paddle design. I was leery of the learning curve to get used to a 45 degree throw, as I've never used one and muscle memory was ingrained for a standard safety, but after a hundred or so uses, it comes naturally now. The only problem I see is having different safety selectors on different firearms, and the mishap of having to fumble with different operations from firearm to firearm. It's a fantastic product, but not "universal" in feeling. I believe this thought is definitely something to consider.

The Missing Link for a Great M22

Written on Mar 04, 2025

This is an absolute must-have with the M22. It completely resolves the differing-light weakness with the M22. I stated in a review for the M22 that it should be sold with the unit, as opposed to an option. It'll change the all-important price point of the M22, but it's worthless in large light-differing target acquisition without the polarizer. Though the polarizer still requires manual adjustment, depending on light differential, it's "livable", as it's not often that you're firing from dark-to-light, then light-to dark. Unless you're in a scenerio retreating from outdoor light to poor indoor lighting, then acquiring back out, I believe you can pretty much keep the polarizer opened to the halfway position. Practice, practice, practice with it...... Definitely a great product, and changes the quality level of a bare M22 completely.

Great bang for your buck

Written on Feb 23, 2025

I think this is probably the best sub $500 optic. I like the brightness of the dot in situations where light from where you are is similar to the light where you are aiming, but every reviewer is right when they complain about shooting from dark into bright light. I'm told the $80 polarizer option corrects this, but it should absolutely be a huge asterisk for anyone thinking about buying the M22 who isn't shooting in perfect lighting conditions. It NEEDS the optional lens cover and should be sold as standard, regardless of what it does to the all important price point. I ordered the polarizing lens with the M22 and it was on a several week backorder. I should get it in about a week, and I'll do an updated review once I receive it. Bottom line: unless you're buying this for target shooting only, don't consider it a good optic for defense, unless you have the optional polarizer.
