Streamlight TL- Racker Mossberg 500 or 590

The unit I received is marked for the Mossberg 500 or 590 - 69600. I have a Model 500/ 50482. This unit doesn’t fit my shotgun. This unit is about one inch too long. The Action slid tube nut cannot engage the threads of the Action slide assembly. Do I have the right unit for my shotgun? Do I need to modify this unit?

Bought this unit after using several cheaper red dots. Last one was a Bushnell TRS-32 which, had been working well. But, I wanted a truly reliable Red Dot. I was ready to fork over the big bucks for an Aimpoint. Fortunately, I was watching YouTube video reviews on the Holosun vs. Aimpoint. I decided to give one a try. I'm so glad I did. It has many of the features of the more expensive big-name brands, and it runs on solar and batteries. With a 30,000 to 50,000 hour run time on one 2032 battery. But, at a price half to three times lower. I zeroed it at 100 yards with Wolf Gold in bright sunlight. I used the singe dot setting. Oh, it has two reticle settings. A single dot, or a circle around the dot. Aimpoint only has one. I've run 500 rounds through it, and it's held zero. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
