I ordered these night sights before the shield even arrived and was worried about the install due to the trouble everyone had with the welded on shield sights. Brass punch and a 4 lb. sledge with the slide in a vise cushioned by hard rubber protectors tapped them out and in easily. Out from the left and in fron the right with 4 folds of electrical tape as protection from the punch got'er done. The tape served as a keeper for the spring on the right side of the rear sight. Worry not, they are a perfect fit. Oh, the big orange in front and the white around the rear dots are everything I hoped for. Love it!
