Superb Field of View and Illuminated Reticle
Written on Jun 27, 2019
At one magnification, I was pleasantly shocked to see that it seemed to be below 1x when looking through the scope. Usually manufacturers advertise true 1x but give you 1.1x or higher. Swampfox has gone the other way with giving what appears to my eye to be 0.9x or 0.95x. Good job SwampFox. This puts Zeiss and some others to shame.
Also at 1x I was stunned at how wide the field of view is. I did a side by side comparison with the legendary Eotech Holographic Site and I was shocked to find that the field of view on SwampFox at 1x power is noticeably wider than the Eotech. What? How that is possible? I kept going back and forth between the two and lo, there it is, a noticeably wider field of view on the SwampFox. That is an apples to oranges comparison and it is not scientific at all because the Eotech has no eye relief while the SwampFox does. Even so, I am sharing what I saw.
Clarity is nice, but not at the level of a top tier scope. Still you are getting far more than you pay for.
My reticle power turret wheel started getting a little lose after some use. I am sure this is something Swampfox can fix or replace if your unit should have the same trouble. I wonder how the eye box compares to other scopes. I didn't have anything to compare it to other than Eotech and of course Eotech has no eye box because it is not a scope.
Very tactile clicks that put other mushy turret competitors to shame. These clicks are amazing...
