The Ultimate Combat Optic

Before I begin, let me make this very clear: This scope is not meant for pinpoint precision. As the acronym (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) indicates, it is a combat optic. It is designed for hitting man-sized targets. Not that you can't be precise with it, but don't expect to drive tacks at 500 yards.

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, allow me to begin. If you have never held or looked through an ACOG in person, you will be amazed by two things: 1. The clarity of the glass - As someone who is not used to expensive glass, I couldn't believe how crystal clear the glass is when I first looked through it in comparison to my significantly Vortex Diamondback scope that I had been using previously. 2. How lightweight, yet incredibly well made and durable it feels - Once you get it in your hands, you'll be very impressed with the quality of the construction and how solid it feels. I feel confident that if I ran out of ammo, I could always use my ACOG as a weapon...

The other thing that will make an impression on you, however, is the very short eye-relief. To be frank, yes, it is as short as everyone says it is. That being said, over time you get used to it and really isn't that big of a deal. Which is to say, if the eye-relief is the only thing preventing you from buying the scope, buy the scope, you won't regret it!
