Let me start off by saying I am a Holosun fan and have been for several years. The 515BU was my 3rd Holosun purchase and my favorite out of them all. It's feature packed and comes with many nice extras like the flip up lens covers and the QD mount which is solid. It also stopped working 8 months later with less then 15 rounds put though the particular rife it's on with it mounted. It is on my HD rifle and sits in my bedroom closet with the shake awake feature turned on. I decided to pick the rifle up today and take a peak through it and noticed that the circle for the circle dot reticle is turning itself on and off. It completely disappears below setting 7 and is so bright from 8-12 that the entire outer perimeter of the sight glass is glowing red like a neon sign. This was not an issue the last time I looked through the lens which was about a month ago or when I sighted it in last spring. I have contacted Holosun repair and am awaiting a return rma and conformation. I would still use their products however I am unsure if I will mount them on any serious use weapons which is a shame. If I had thousands of rounds through this rifle with this rds mounted I might feel differently but at a whopping 10 rounds and it sitting in a closet for the 8 months I have owned it I am less then thrilled with it's quality and reliability. I will update this review once I get a response from Holosun and a resolution.
