good scope except bdc

this scope is OK for your 22 rifle. I imagine that if you know the distance you are shooting and know the corresponding circle on the reticle the BDC would be helpful. Probably target shooters could use it. I'm using it on a squirrel gun and I just don't see it helpful on quick and various unknown range shots. The BDC is just clutter. Had a hard time getting correct eye relief, just couldn't seem to get it back far enough to get full field of view. I'm going to try it out anyway and see how it does in the woods.

Bushnell Elite 4500 2.5-10X40mm Rifle Scope
I have 4 of these scopes on my long range rifles. I like them because of the power range, the plain crosshair, rainguard lens coating and easily adjustable dials. I use the low powers for timber hunting and 10x is especially handy for sighting in. I don't like a lot of clutter on the crosshair, who has time to do all the calculations of a rangefinder reticle when the game is in the scope. The rainguard feature really works, you can see through the scope in the rain, mist and damp weather. the adjustment dials need no tools or coins to turn. The scope is a quality scope, not like the cheaper sportviews bushnell is associated with. however the elite isn't expensive and is affordable under $300. its a great deal.

solid extension mounts

bought the extension mount so that I could move the scope rearward to gain a full scope sight picture. These mounts allowed me to do that. Solid, low cost mount for those who like the dovetail type mounts.

These scope covers are very fussy about fit. If you have to stretch them a bit to get them on they probably wont stay closed. They worked well on one of my scopes that just fit perfect. The other scope I bought them for the eyepiece fit well, but the objective end was tight and wouldn't stay closed. Had to go to next size up and add few wraps of electric tape. Returning covers for different size is hassle and shipping costs almost make it not worthwhile
rainguard at a great price

I have been buying bushnell elite scopes for years since they came out with rainguard and ive never been sorry. they work well, I've never had one fail and the rainguard works great. When I saw OpticsPlanet had this model at a unbelievable price I had to buy a couple to have on hand. This model is perfect for Pennsylvania deer hunting.
