Not as good as it should be
Written on Jan 19, 2019
Thought I would give an honest review for the Thor-HD 640-480, This is my second thermal scope. the first was an Armasight Zeus, 2015.
first off, the buttons are difficult to manipulate. Totally impossible to use with gloves. To power up you must depress and hold the power button a few seconds. And something they don't mention on any of the advertisement, you must do a NUC every time it is powered up. Which requires an additional press of the power button. (( and the cover must be on before the NUC )). I thought the resolution was not as good as my 2015 model Armasight Zeus 160x120 30hz. the most annoying problem is the eye relief. Nearly have to have my eye touching the scope to see all the display. Hello scope burn. Had to mount it 1 1/2" high with risers to allow proper eye relief. The good, the digital zoom worked well thru 10x, after that it is useless. Was able to identify a Cow clearly at 650. The digital recording was a nice feature. The Rangefinder is a bit iffy. Takes several steps to get a range, it does not happen very fast. Have not tried the profiles with the ballistic calculator. The Menu system is fairly easy to access and program. The Phone app is a bit finicky but does work and you can see a live feed of what the scope is seeing, and you can make adjustments from the app. I have had the unit for a short time so its still up in the air if it gets returned or not. I would recommend looking at the Armasight Zeus or something in that line

Good so Far
Written on Jan 23, 2018
This is my 1st Reconyx Camera, so far i'm pretty impressed, Fairly easy to set up, Instruction are Good, i went with the At&T Sim, At&T is not easy to set up unfortunately, but that's not Reconyx fault. I have used Spypoint Cell cameras for about 5 years, finally got tired of sending them in for repair after repair, and the software crashed constantly, i had (3) cameras and they all had problems. So the Good, Takes good pictures, not great, Has a Great Night time Flash, it is fairly narrow in the Beam though, Easy to get it up and running out of the box, with the exception of dealing with At&t, The Housing seams to be very Tough and Watertight, Mounts with a strap or 1/4-20 camera thread on back of unit,Trigger Time Exceptional very fast, The only Con is the Camera must be programmed at the camera, Spypoint is done mostly on their website, without the need to be at the camera. This is not a huge Problem, except i use it as a game camera, and sometimes animals stage around it blasting off hundreds of pics, When its 3am in the morning i don't want to go to the camera and change the settings .. and set delays,
Overall its a very good camera and i plan on buying another one.

Review for
MTM Tactical Mag Can
This is an awesome product. Going to the range has never been easier. Just load up 15 mags of your favorite .223 or 556 loads and head off to the range. It can accommodate 20rd mags and well as 30rd mags.
Well built, very sturdy. Wish I have thought of this myself.

Extremely well built and designed. If you are a serious shooter or you are in to the best. buy this.
1st of all it mounts to the Rails with (5) screws, very secure. One piece design makes for very accurate mounting of any scope. I bought this because I needed a mount for 34mm. which are hard to find. Top notch

Great Scope for the Money. I use this scope on my Ar-15 dedicated Hog Gun. Very Lightweight. the 1x-4x has covered turrets so no worries about knocking the dial off of zero. I have (3) of these and am very happy.
also a nice feature is raised spot on the Zoom dial to let you know what power it is set to without looking.

Burris XTR II 1.5-8x28mm Rifle Scope
Mounted this scope on an AR-15 for Hog hunting. At first look it is massive in appearance. Very heavy. Being 34mm tube makes finding rings difficult. Burris R.E.P.R one piece mounts are not high enough for proper eye relief, but will work. The Glass is not as clear as I had hoped from a scope of this price. Now the Good. the Power Range 1.5x to 8x makes for long as well as short shots. I have the Dual Focal Plane reticle, the illuminated circle for close range then the lines and dots for long range. Positive locks on the windage and elevation keep unwanted adjustments from happening as well as return to zero stop. I also own Millet designated marksman 1x-4x and 1x-6x I believe are a better value for this type of scope. This scope is purpose built for CQB so , I would not recommend for Deer Hunting at long ranges.
