poor quality
Written on Jun 01, 2021
I ordered the Luth-Ar A1 style stripped upper for a retro build and wow, is there any quality control? The carry handle dimmensions look way off when looking down the rear sight because one side is super thin and the other side looks fine. Im no A1 style expert but im pretty sure they botched the carry handle. My othe problem is the rattle and gap between the upper and any lower you put it on (I tried 3 different ones). And lastly, the finish is not retro grey but something else that feels like medium grit sandpaper.

Dust cover quality

Review for
AIM Sports Inc AR Dust Cover Assembly
I purchased the Aim Sport Inc dust cover for a quick build and am somewhat dissatisfied. The fit and finish is fine but the spring loaded catch that holds the cover shut doesnt hold it shut very well. If i even slightly tap the upper receiver, the cover pops open as if the catch is barely catching.

charging handle

Very great product for an affordable price. I did not experience any binding or rough friction wile operating. Very simple yet effeciant design lets you chamber with ease. Locking latch catches the receiver very nice with no wobblle or play. I recommend this product for any build.

Smooth action detents

Review for
Armaspec Takedown Detent Set w/Springs
Great detents and springs for a decent price. The look and feel of these components are very smooth. The installation can be a bit more challenging for the novice builder because of how slippery the detents are. No complaints here. One can never have too many of these and I highly recommend.

Poorly designed internals
Written on Jan 30, 2021
I bought it specifically for the hex design because its the theme on my project. The look of it is exactly what i want although i was not happy with the functionality of the internal spring loaded lever component. It sticks out too far even compared to a standard mil spec forward assist wich results in the lever binding up with the roll pin. It felt like a very rough click and would even get stuck. I had to take a dremel to the lever and remove material where it touches the roll pin and now its smooth. Would not recommend if you want smooth action. Would recommend if you own a dremel and know how to use it.
