Well I didn't buy my trigger off Optics Planet, but I do have several of these triggers and I do think they are one of the best Triggers on the market, whether it be for the AR-15 or ar-10. But more than that, their customer service is absolutely awesome. Had a small mix up when I ordered a safety and they sent me the wrong one, they took care of it absolutely immediately and I had the new one in my hand within a few days. Most recently I just purchased a rifle and I had made a small mistake on the billing address. I wrote them an email that evening, and by the next morning it was fixed. But even before that I tried to call them, and they were on the phone with someone else so I simply hung up. It wasn't 5 minutes later I get a phone call back from them saying that we missed a phone call. Again they are absolutely fabulous at customer service.⁸
This is my new favorite now. So easy to attach to the rail. No bolts to fall out or Torque. No QD to worry about on how tight. Just loosen the bolts slide it on and hand tighten them. That's it. I do suggest going online and watching the videos to watch how it is applied.
So after some back and forth with Centurion Arms they took the barrel back, mounted it and shot it. Did confirm that it was a material minus in the barrel. The Moa wasn't horrible but you could definitely tell it wasn't what you would expect from a precision barrel. They did send me a new barrel. I'm still going to only give it four stars because I don't think I should have had to go back and forth with them that after showing him the pictures. I still think they make quality products from what I've have so far such as their sand cutter bolt carrier group. That thing is awesome.
This is my third handguard from slr. High quality and well built. Works with receivers that you cannot use anti-rotation tabs with. This actually has an anti-rotation wedge.
In my previous review I recommended this barrel. I think I may have to retract that now. I have approximately 300 or so rounds through the barrel. So upon cleaning and checking with a borescope I noticed just on the muzzle side of the Gasport there was some metal from the board that look like it had been peeled back. I took the picture sent them to Centurion Arms and he said it looked like barely erosion. Really at 300 rounds? So I took it to a local gunsmith and had him look at it. His summation was that when they drilled the gas Port there was a burr there, and as the Slugs ran past it it ripped the metal apart. I again contact the Centurion Arms and told him about this. Offered to send the barrel back to them so they could examine it themselves. So far I've heard crickets. I emailed Monty directly and still haven't heard back from him after two emails. If this is the customer service I can expect I will never buy a Centurion Arms product again. Too bad because their products are pretty good but customer service you still foremost in my book. Too many other barrels out there of good quality that stand behind their product. I can no longer recommend this product.
If you don't know much about this company you should do a little research on them. My first learned about them on school the American Rifle and how he was doing a BCG inspection. He said he was very impressed. So I read up on them and bought the Reese barrel with matched BCG. Polished ramps. No break in required. After sighting in, shot less than 1 inch groups at 100 yards. Did better with 75 grain and 62.
