Wilson Combat is a fantastic company and this product reflects that. I wanted a little extra help when it came to reloading my 1911, but I didn't want too much. I wanted to avoid getting a massive flared magwell. This magwell offers that little extra help by expanding the margin for error when reloading. Is it as effective as a much larger magwell like a Dawson Precision? No. But I wanted something with a smaller profile than a Dawson and something that didn't require too much modification. It virtually goes unnoticed and install was super easy. When I showed it to someone, I explained that I put a flared magwell on my 1911, and he said, "Where?" I did have to add an extra step in the install: I had to back out the grip screw bushings to get it to fit. Not a big deal. That and sand down the grip plates to help them sit flush after install. All in all, Great product. Price is good too.
