My goal was to build a sub 8 lb AR-10 in 308. I picked this barrel to get me there.
After putting a few hundred rounds through it, I've found that ammo choice makes a significant difference.

My copy of the 16" barrel does best with heavier ammo.
I am seeing 1.5 to 2 MOA @ 100 yards with anything between 149 and 155 grain.
Step up to 168 grain Federal Gold Match SMK and my 5 round groups drop to about 1.25"
The best factory ammo I've shot so far is the 175gr Federal Gold Medal SMK, and I consistently hit .75-1.0 MOA.

For hunting, I'm really liking the Hornady 178gr ELD-X, and am seeing similar groupings to the Federal GM. It's just too expensive to shoot for fun.

I'd like to try out some other 175-180 grain loads to compare... I will be super happy if the Federal Power-shok/non-typical 180 grains manage 1MOA. Then it will be my goto hunting round. I'll update this comment when I get a chance to put a few rounds downrange.
