Amazing red dot for price point
Written on Mar 12, 2021
Built an ar-12 and needed a good quality red dot that would be able to handle the recoil of a 12 gauge.. Decided to give this one a try and I'm very pleased with the results. I've compared it side-by-side to an eotech and can definitely say the quality is just as good, if not even better than the eotech and at a way better price point too. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future for other builds.

Great sight for the price
Written on Dec 24, 2020
Paid right around $300 for this sight and am very happy with it so far. Out of the box, everything looks very high quality and the sight itself is very clear. I tried it out on my AR9 build and loved it; however, I actually plan on throwing this on an AR-12 gauge build that I am currently working on (was going to go with an eotech but didn't want to spend that much). From the look and feel, I don't think this sight will have any issues with putting up to the recoil of a 12 gauge. I will do an update once I have a chance to use it and let you guys know how it handles the 12 gauge recoil.

Trigger bar is too short
Written on Dec 04, 2020
Waited 2 months for this item to show up and it finally did. Upon trying to install it, I fought it just to find out it doesn’t even work, the trigger bar is too short and doesn’t allow it to reset. Because of this, I had a very hard time tearing down my Glock since I wasn’t able to pull the trigger in order to release the slide. I ended up scratching a bunch of parts and am very, very unhappy with Hyve. I would not recommend this product to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

Great steel sights for the $$$
Written on Oct 20, 2020
Rolled the dice on a set of these at Rainier Arms and I’m so glad I did! Hard to find a set of steel sights for $130, I think I paid close to that much for my Magpul MBUS polymer flip-up sights. Anyways, these look and feel very well built out of the box. Adjustments are super easy too on both front and rear, just the turn of a dial (no tool needed). Rear sight features a 1.5mm and 4.5mm diameter apertures for different lighting/shooting conditions. All-in-all, I would definitely buy these again for any AR that needs iron sights.
