Great stock

Written on Sep 07, 2017

Fits tight and works great. The cheek weld is firm and the threads on the tensioners are strong. The shock aborning aspect is only noticeable in a positive way, less barrel rise and recoil on my Armalite AR10). The rubber pad is almost too aggressive and wouldn't feel good bare chested. Battery storage is very sealed (you have to use the butt plate to remove the plug) and the slide off butt pad doesn't rattle but comes off without a tool. The adjustment button is forwarded, the opposite of most configurations. Fab makes great products, they aren't cheap, but they are true combat quality. I have the FAB Defense Gen-2 QR Vertical Pivoting Integrated bipod grip. It's incredibly awesome.

If you have Armalite make sure you call before ordering!! Light, great feel, no rails included

So I have an Armalite AR10 and ordered this handguard because there are not many options for those of us with Armalite products, especially the AR10. I had the A-2 style upper with the delta ring and wanted to go free floating. Once I finally received it and tried installing it the barrel nut didn't fit. Optics Planet told me it is not compatible with my rifle - I told them they advertise that it fits the Armalite AR10 and that I shouldn't have my money tied up for weeks because of their error.... So I called Diamondhead and they told me they always ship them out with DPMS barrel nuts, but they have the Armalite threaded nuts available and priority shipped one out to me at no charge. Now it's on my rifle and it looks and feels great! For how expensive it is it should come with at least one rail, as it only has the top rail, although, the smooth, almost triangular shape is very comfortable in the hand without any grips/covers. It also has a proprietary nut that is 1 3/8" I think and does not come with one. Armorer's wrenches do not work on the nut, so plan on looking for a huge wrench to get it on there (I couldn't find anything but a crescent wrench that large).

Overall this product seems built well and looks great, but buyer beware if you have Armalite, call and make sure they ship with the right nut!
