I’ve been looking for the perfect earmuff for a while now. I thought that 400++ $ earmuffs would do the job. I knew it’s gonna be no good the moment I pulled them out of the box. They are well made and lightweight but lightweight in certain applications is no good. Light means no density and if there’s no density how is it going to protect your hearing. I took them to the range and fire a few shots from my 556. After 3 shots I put them back into the box as I knew that with 308 I’d suffer a concussion wearing these. Microphones are superior to anything I tried before and you can tell exactly where the sounds are coming from but I’d rather preserve my hearing than hear someone speak clearly. No case, just a sack with safari land logo. My Walkers razors are waaaay better and cost a fraction of safariland. I like cool stuff but I prefer not to go deaf after a few trips to the range.
It’s a good selector but my beef is with color. If you offer color options stick to the charts. You think you’ll be getting an actual red but you get this ugly almost candy/ burgundy like color that doesn’t match anything. It looks nothing like the photo. I’m gonna have it painted cause it bugs me.
It has that cheap plastic feel. Cheek rise is in the way of the charging handle unless you pull the stock all the way back. Pulling on a pin to adjust the stock was a pain in the butt and on top of that trying to dig out a tiny Allen wrench mounted inconveniently to tighten the stock every time I adjust it is just not something I want to deal with. Need lots and lots of improvements.
It’s a great looking guard and fits just right. But I do have a complaint…. While shooting, most of the rifle weight is sitting right on you middle finger. Trigger guard has very sharp edges underneath and every time after the range, I had skin torn off my finger. So I sanded the bottom and now I can concentrate on the target instead of the trigger guard grinding my finger down. It definitely won’t be my choice for the 2 builds im doing now.
I bought it along with matching pistol grip cause I thought it looked cool. Edges are extremely sharp and it’s very uncomfortable to hold. Just an overpriced piece of aluminum. Stick to real grips and hand stops
