I love Vortex stuff. I have 5 different optics and several scope mounts and ring sets. I did not like these at all though!
I purchased the seekins precision first (same exact product) because they were a few bucks cheaper. When they arrived I noticed the color and finish was off on all three main pieces. The top piece and rail clamp were semi gloss black and the bottom piece was flat gray. Since they were cheaper I just figured Seekins might not have had as good of a QC department. So, I ordered the Vortex version and got the exact same problem except backwards for the coloring and finish! So, I returned those and contacted Vortex.
I inquired as to the issue and was told "The finish is only different in the anodizing process of the rings. This is not uncommon. It will have no ill affect on the performance of the rings themselves." Sooooo, your saying it's normal?...For a $150+ set of rings to be two different colors? No thanks.

The mounts felt very well made and heavy duty and if you don't care what you build looks like, then I would recommend them.
